Two Parks in Studio City, CA
Studio City is packed with parks. Being in the Los Angeles area, the weather is usually excellent, and nearly every day is an excellent day to spend at a park. Here are just two of the great parks they offer. More about Studio City, CA can be seen here.
Located off Laurel Canyon Boulevard in Studio City, Wilacre Park is in the eastern Santa Monica Mountains. Since it covers 128 acres, you will be busy all day long and come back for more tomorrow. The first great thing about Wilacre Park is that you can get there by MTA bus. The second great thing is that the trail at the park joins up to the Betty B. Dearing trail and the Cross Mountain Park trail system. Click here to read about Studio City Recreation Center in Studio City, CA.
Universal City Overlook
If you travel south about 2 miles from Wilacre Park, you will reach the Universal City Overlook, located off Mulholland Drive. Universal Studios donated the land for this park. The overlook provides views of the San Fernando Valley and Verdugo Hills.
Universal City Overlook was initially built in 1984 during the Summer Olympics to give visitors views of the area. The only concern is that this is a top-rated park, and parking can sometimes be hard to find.
